Citadel of Faith Covenant Church

Citadel of Faith Covenant Church was started in 2003 from a vision Harvey Carey received from the Lord nearly 20 years prior for a local church that would be established in Detroit, Michigan. Citadel has now grown into a dynamic multiracial church with people from all backgrounds serving God in the heart of Detroit.

The word, Citadel means a fortress that sits on the commanding height of the city for it’s safety and defense. Our hope is to be a church where people who are hurting, distressed, confused—of all races, classes and cultures—would come to seek answers from the word of God that are relevant to the issues of their lives. To attract those who are in need of lifechanging power, we reflect the light of Christ through sincere, consistent ministry in the city. As we develop genuine relationships, and serve one another, our works give glory to God, and connect people to Jesus. The result: an authentic community where lives are transformed by the power of the gospel, and faith-filled believers are released to change the world.
